Job Description

Cintas is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager. to ensure the quality of all inbound drug identification (DIN) for drug release and outbound product conforms to Health Canada Medical Device and over-the-counter (OTC) regulations; develop, implement and manage the quality assurance program related to pharmaceutical and medical device activities; and to drive distributor, supplier and plant improvement in quality through data analysis and reporting . Responsibilities include the oversight and coordination of DIN-related activities related to testing lab; supporting distribution center activities; managing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and training; Quality Assurance holds; reporting; cross-department collaboration; leadership and direction.



  • Canadian university degree or degree recognized as equivalent by a Canadian university or Canadian accreditation body in a science related to the work being carried out; Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry or similar

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and intranet/internet

  • Minimum 2-5 years' relevant practical experience within pharmaceutical OTC medications and medical device quality assurance and regulatory roles

  • Experience working with Health Canada requirements: Division 2, Part C of Canadian Food and Drug Regulations (HFB inspectorate Good Manufacturing Practices Guidelines); GUI-0001, Good Manufacturing Practices Guide for Drug Products

  • Moderate to high level of familiarity with Health Canada compliance risk areas

  • Ability to grasp and clearly communicate complex ideas verbally and in writing

  • Investigation, analytical and exceptional problem-solving skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong project leadership skills - Six Sigma experience preferred

  • Strong personal drive and motivation

  • Ability to execute both strategically and tactically

  • Participate in and lead implementation of complex and potentially visible decisions

  • Ability to multitask, exercise good judgment and be detail oriented with appropriate follow through

  • Demonstrate success as collaborative team player who can work with others and build rapport with internal partners, but also autonomously with limited direction

  • Strong presentation and training skills
