Job Description

Cintas is currently looking for a Systems Engineer-Level 3-Server Storage for the Enterprise Services team within IT. The Systems Engineer Level 3 is responsible for: researching advanced technology trends in area(s) of expertise; identifying emerging trends and initiating research projects for team members; designing innovative solutions using new technologies; recommending short-term alternatives when appropriate; creating prototypes and leading initial development and testing through to production; defining enterprise-wide scoped SLAs to ensure requirements are met or exceeded; escalating problems as required based on SLAs; developing client satisfaction and capacity planning metrics; coordinating assessment of emerging technologies typically as the lead subject matter expert; evaluating and recommending new projects or tools for the organization; overseeing cost benefit analysis and presenting options to management teams; assisting in the resolution of support issues escalated by senior operations or development personnel; providing technical expertise across business functions; articulating relationship between business and the data and technology that support the business; identifying opportunities to improve business processes via new technologies; making recommendations and influencing long-term technology strategy and planning for multiple business units; assisting in development of RFPs and responses to new business opportunities; acting as subject matter expert to various project teams; determining dependencies and prerequisites; creating CRFs for assigned tasks and ensuring CRFs are approved in accordance with project timeline; and defining production readiness and transition acceptance criteria and ensuring criteria are completed before new system implementation.

Skills/Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in IT discipline, preferred

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Information Technology

  • Minimum 8 years of top-level administrative experience with a wide range of operating systems (MS Windows Server, Linux, and mobile operating systems)

  • Minimum 8 years of experience performing storage administration, management, and configuration including the storage provisioning process, thin provisioning, SAN troubleshooting and VMWare connectivity

  • Minimum 7 years of top-level Directory Services experience with LDAP and MS Active Directory and ADFS

  • Working knowledge of enterprise class LAN (Office LAN, Data Center LAN), WAN, VPN, VDI and network security (IPSec, Firewalls, DMZ), preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in configuring VMWare EXS, vSphere, vMotion

  • Minimum 5 years of experience providing capacity planning, performing server and storage consumption analysis, and assisting with disaster recovery and testing

  • Minimum 5 years of experience functioning as a project lead in the implementation of server and storage solutions

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the administration and management of backup solutions is required; specifically experience with Cohesity, preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Cloud Administration with a focus on Google Cloud and Azure; Cloud Migration and Configuration, preferred

  • Minimum 3 years of experience creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation as it relates to server and storage equipment and configurations

  • Must be willing and able to work overtime implementing production changes during approved change windows or assisting in problem resolution

  • Experience managing and supporting EMC Isilon and ExtremeIO, preferred

  • Experience in the administration of MS SQL and MS PowerShell scripting, preferred

  • Previous experience with Splunk enterprise logging, preferred
