Cintas Health and Safety Coordinator in Langley, Canada

Cintas is seeking a Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator to manage all areas related to HSE compliance and performance. Responsibilities include supporting and coordinating safety awareness programs; ensuring proper reporting of work related accidents; coordinating and/or conducting all safety training, including physical aspects such as proper bending, lifting, and stretching procedures, as well as any related follow-up necessary to maintain compliance in these areas; implementation of the Corporate Safety Manual, safety procedures, checklist and audits; riding on routes with Route Service Sales Representatives (Route Drivers) and working in a production warehouse environment to ensure safety compliance among all affected workers. While riding on route and working in the warehouse, the HSE Coordinator will assist with the physical duties of those positions, including lifting, carrying and walking products into and out of customer accounts, as well as continuous bending, twisting and stretching to move products throughout the various areas of the plant.
Qualified candidates must meet all requirements outlined by the Department of Transportation (DOT) (US) or Provincial requirements (Canada) for driving a regulated vehicle weighing more than 10,000 lbs.
In order to comply with DOT requirements (US), qualified candidates must, prior to their first day of employment:
Have an active driver's license
Be at least 21 years of age
Obtain a DOT medical certification
Provide documentation regarding their previous employment
In order to comply with Provincial requirements (Canada), qualified candidates must, prior to their first day of employment:
- Possess a valid driver's license in good standing
Health, safety and environmental compliance experience, preferably in an industrial or service industry
Availability to start within two weeks after offer made/accepted
High School Diploma/GED (+11 years)
